Justin Bethel shares mindset of Patriots post-Tom Brady

By WEEI 93.7

Special teams ace Justin Bethel only was with the Patriots for the second half of last season, so he only has limited experience with Tom Brady, but now he's part of the process of moving on from him.

Bethel spoke on the team's mindset post-Brady when appearing on Good Morning Football Tuesday.

“It’s hard for me obviously because I came halfway through the season. For me, this is kind of all I will say about it, is every team has changes every year and they are a new team every year," he said. "Obviously, Tom Brady leaving you would say is a big thing just because he’s been with the Patriots for so long and he’s done so much. But, at the end of the day, I think the guys who are on the team right now we know at the end of the day we have to go out and do our job and win games. I think we have the coaching staff and the people to support us to get it done.”

All indications are that it will be Jarrett Stidham's job to lose, but veteran Brian Hoyer is also on the roster.

As for Bethel, the 30-year-old is entering his ninth season in the league and he and Matthew Slater form arguably the best special teams duo in football.
