Patriots reportedly have open roster spot again after TE Jordan Leggett doesn't sign after all

Following several reports of the Patriots signing tight end Jordan Leggett pending a physical/COVID-19 test, the deal is not going to happen after all.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Patriots will not be signing the veteran tight end. No reason was given.

The Patriots were at 80 players including Leggett Monday, so now they have an open roster spot. Given the depth at the tight end position and relying on two rookies, it would make a great deal of sense for them to try and target another veteran tight end.
