On Monday, it was reported Trey Flowers agreed to sign with the Lions, and a day later the details of the contract have come out.
According to multiple reports, Flowers’ deal is for five years and $90 million that includes $56 million guaranteed with $40 million fully guaranteed at signing. This is a great deal for the former Patriots defensive end, and territory the Patriots never would have gone.
Flowers totaled 21.5 sacks the last three seasons and fit the Patriots' system extremely well.
The Lions have been one of the more aggressive teams at the start of free agency, as Bob Quinn, Matt Patricia and Co. look to rebound from a poor 2018 season.
