What Bill Belichick said in Patriots locker room following win over Eagles

By WEEI 93.7

While it wasn't the prettiest of wins, it seemed Bill Belichick recognized its significance when he spoke to the Patriots following their 17-10 victory on the road against the Eagles on Sunday.

The win moved the Patriots to 9-1 on the year and the coach rewarded the team with its first Victory Monday of the season (this means the team did not officially have to report to the facility).

“Congratulations, men," Belichick said in the locker room, via Patriots.com. "A lot of situational football work this week and that paid off. It was a great job coming through in the fourth quarter, all the way through — 60 minutes. It wasn’t perfect, but it was better than what they had. That is what really mattered.

“You know what I think we’re ready for? I think we’re ready for Victory Monday. … 9-1, got another big one this week. Got another big one this week. Let’s be ready to go on Wednesday."

The Patriots will then begin their preparations for the Cowboys next Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
