In their efforts to avoid getting rusty before Monday night's Stanley Cup Final Game 1, the Bruins will try to simulate a game night this Thursday.
The team announced on Tuesday that it will be holding an intrasquad scrimmage at TD Garden Thursday at 7 p.m. Tickets for the general public are $20 and parking at the North Station Garage will be $10. Concessions will be available and all kids will get free popcorn. All proceeds from the night will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m.
The Bruins will be split into a Team White and Team Black and play two 25-minute periods with two refs officiating.
The Blue Jackets held a similar event earlier this postseason during their long layoff between sweeping the Lightning in the first round and facing the Bruins in the second round.
The Bruins completed their sweep of the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday. They await the winner of the Western Conference Finals between the Blues and Sharks. The Blues currently hold a 3-2 series lead and host Game 6 Tuesday night at 8 p.m. If there's a Game 7, it would be Thursday at 9 p.m. in San Jose.
