The Celtics have clearly missed Jayson Tatum, but it appears they will finally get him back for Monday night's game against the Bulls.
On Saturday, Tatum was ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Cavaliers, which will be the fifth straight game he has missed. But prior to Sunday's game, coach Brad Stevens said he anticipates Tatum will play Monday.
Going into Sunday night, the Celtics were 1-3 without Tatum, including losses in three straight games.
Tatum hasn't played since the Celtics' win over the Wizards on Jan. 8. After the game, he tested positive for COVID-19 and immediately went into the NBA's health and safety protocols. He was able to leave quarantine on Tuesday, and has been working his way back into game shape for the last several days.
Tatum would have missed even more than five games, but the Celtics had three games postponed due to COVID-related issues.
