Marcus Smart is making progress in his return from left calf strain, but that doesn't mean you should expect him back in the coming days.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Smart isn't slated to return to action before the NBA All-Star break, which takes place March 5-10.

While Smart is participating in some light basketball activities, according to Celtics coach Brad Stevens, the Celts will have to do without him for the final seven games left in the season's first half.

The Celtics head into Sunday night 5-6 since losing Smart on Jan. 10.

The guard had been turning in one of his more productive seasons before the injury, averaging career-highs in points (13.1), assists (6.1) and steals (1.8) per game.
