On Tuesday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its 25 Modern-Era Player Semifinalists for the Class of 2021.
Six of the 25 have ties to the Patriots (some more than others): Rodney Harrison Richard Seymour, Torry Holt, John Lynch, Fred Taylor and Reggie Wayne.
Harrison is a semi-finalist for the first time, while the other five have before.
The other semifinalists are Eric Allen, Jared Allen, Willie Anderson, Rodne Barner, Cornelius Bennett, Tony Boselli, LeRoy Butler, Alan Faneca, Calvin Johnson, Peyton Manning, Clay Matthews, Sam Millis, Steve Tasker, Zach Thomas, Hines Ward, Patrick Willis, Charles Woodson, Darren Woodson and Bryant Young.
The Class of 2021 will be determined and announced during the week leading up to Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Fla. Between four and eight players will be selected by the committee.
