LeGarrette Blount left New England following the 2016 season and the team has seen a number of players cycle through the running back position since, but Blount doesn't think any of them have been good enough to replace him.

“To this day I don’t think the Eagles have been able to replace me and to this day I don’t think the Patriots have been able to replace me,” Blount said on The Pat McAfee Show this week.

Blount finished that 2016 season with 1,161 yards and 18 touchdowns and the Patriots haven't had a player have that kind of success since, so he has some kind of point.

But, it isn't like the Patriots haven't had success at the running back position.

Dion Lewis had 896 yards and six touchdowns to lead the team in 2017 and the Sony Michel had 931 yards and seven touchdowns in 2018 followed by 912 yards and seven touchdowns last season.

This isn't even mentioning Rex Burkhead, James White and Damien Harris' contributions.

While the Patriots haven't had one player replicate what Blount was able to do, they are still doing just fine at the position.
