The Patriots are reportedly getting set to take a look at a free agent tight end.
According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the Patriots have tight end Dominique Dafney for COVID testing and an eventual tryout. He spent time with the Colts this summer.
At Indiana State last season, he ranked second on the team with 439 yards rushing after carrying the ball during the final four games of the season out of the wildcat package.
The report adds he's a practice squad candidate.
Additionally, defensive tackle Nick Thurman has been sent back to the practice squad after being elevated for Sunday's game against Seattle.
