On Tuesday, voting on the Pro Football Hall of Fame finalists will take place and there's been a push for former Patriots defensive end Richard Seymour.
One of those people pushing for Seymour is Tom Brady. The Buccaneers quarterback took to Twitter Tuesday morning saying: I would love to see Richard Seymour inducted into NFL HOF. Not only was he a dominant player but a team-first, selfless player who played championship fb each & every wk. He was a cornerstone of the Patriots dynasty & deserves to be recognized for his contributions to fb history.
Another is former Patriots personnel man Scott Pioli, who wrote a piece for NFL.com showing how the defensive end's dominance on the field didn't always show up on the stat sheet.
He totaled 57.5 career sacks, including three or more in every season but one and furthermore, in games in which he recorded a sack, his teams had a record of 46-8.
While voting will take place Tuesday, but the results will not become official until the Saturday before the Super Bowl.
