One day after Chaim Bloom made it clear the Red Sox were still in the mix for the services of Jackie Bradley Jr. comes news they aren't alone.
Bradley Jr. has also drawn interest from the Astros and Giants.
Even with Bloom's proclamation that he is remaining in conversation with Bradley Jr.'s agent Scott Boras, the Red Sox wouldn't seem to be as logical a fit as some teams. The Sox's outfield options currently include Hunter Renfroe, Alex Verdugo, Franchy Cordero and Kiké Hernandez. Also in the mix are Michael Chavis and J.D. Martinez.
The Brewers do have logical candidates at all three outfield spots without Bradley Jr., with Lorenzo Cain manning center field, and Christian Yelich and Avisail Garcia in left and right, respectively. But the recent offensive downturns by Cain and Garcia might necessitate a player like the former Red Sox first-round pick.
