WFAN morning show "Boomer and Gio" held a hilarious cookup via videoconference while confined at home during the coronavirus crisis.
Boomer, joined by show regulars Al Dukes, Jerry Recco, Eddie Scozzare and Bob Dwyer -- showed off his culinary chops, preparing a delicious looking spread of salad, shrimp cocktail, six-ounce honey-glazed salmon fillets, a "medley of fresh fruit" as a "bed" for the salad to sit on, asparagus, and cauliflower florets.
Boomer's landscapers even made a special appearance.
"Nothing sums up Boomer's existence like the sentence, 'Hey, I've got workers here!'" quipped Gio.
"Hey I'm trying to keep the economy going!" Boomer fired back. "All you guys do is bust my chops. Why is that?"
"Because it's fun!"
Nevertheless, the guys were surprised by Boomer's culinary skills.
"I have to be honest, I'm really impressed by Boomer," said Jerry. "I'm about to pour a bowl of Frosted Flakes over here and Boomer looks like a chef."
"Me too," said Gio. "I hate to admit it."
