The Devils have acquired Russian star winger Nikita Gusev in a trade with the Vegas Golden Knights.
New Jersey is sending a third-round draft pick in 2020 and a second-round selection in 2021 to Vegas in exchange for Gusev. The Devils announced Monday they also have signed the restricted free agent to a two-year, $9 million contract.
Gusev is the latest notable addition to the Devils this offseason. Last month, New Jersey drafted center Jack Hughes first overall and then traded for veteran defenseman P.K. Subban.
