The next chapter of Lance Thomas' career is taking him across the East River.

On Friday, the Nets announced they signed the veteran forward, who spent the past four-plus seasons with the Knicks. Terms of the deal were not immediately available.

Thomas, 31, played in 46 games last season, starting 17. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 4.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 17 minutes per game. He missed about six weeks after undergoing knee surgery in November. The Knicks waived Thomas in June.

The Nets, who open training camp Friday, now have 20 players on their roster.
