Odell On His Future With Browns: 'I Don't Know'

By WFAN Sports Radio 101.9 FM/66AM New York

Back in March, the New York Giants shocked the football world by shipping off star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns for 2019 first and second round picks and safety Jabrill Peppers.

Nine months later, after a 5-7 start to his Browns career, Beckham isn't set in stone on his future in Cleveland.

"What does the future hold?" Beckham said when speaking with reporters Thursday afternoon. "I don't know."

The trade to Cleveland came just seven months after the Giants gave the star wideout a five-year, $90 million contract.

Beckham is no stranger to controversy. Between his beef with then Panthers cornerback Josh Norman, who he had a physical altercation with during a game, his dog-peeing celebration in the endzone after scoring a touchdown, his kicking net proposal, etc. this latest chapter adds another layer to the complicated story of Beckham.

There was also the now infamous interview he did with ESPN's Josina Anderson along with his friend, rapper Lil Wayne, where he criticized the organization, threw quarterback Eli Manning under the bus for his poor play, etc.

Manning was benched as the starting quarterback for the Giants in favor of rookie Daniel Jones, their first round selection from Duke. Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, the one now throwing to Beckham, has had an up and down season himself, throwing 15 touchdown passes but also 14 interceptions.

Stay tuned. This story has only just begun.
