Report: Luke Falk Files Injury Grievance Against Jets

In a season that's been filled with bad losses and bad press, the Jets are dealing with another angry former employee.

According to Manish Mehta of The Daily News, Gang Green has had an injury grievance filed against them through the NFL Players Association by their ex-QB Luke Falk. The quarterback was released by the Jets Oct. 12 after starting three games for them while Sam Darnold was sidelined with mononucleosis.

Five days after Gang Green's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Jets dropped the quarterback as Sam Darnold was set to make his return. Falk reportedly claims he has a hip injury which requires surgery. The quarterback was not listed on the Jets' injury report leading up to the Eagles game Oct. 6, or in the following days before his release.

Filling in for Darnold, Falk went 0-3 for the Jets, completing 64.4% of his passes with no touchdowns and three picks.

It's the second former Jet to file an injury grievance against Gang Green this season. Less than a month ago, the Jets engaged in an ugly dispute with their former offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele. The Jets released the guard after he went against team recommendations and had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder. Osemele was fined by the Jets for missing practices and games with the injury.
