The sister of Knicks player Reggie Bullock was fatally shot Monday night in Baltimore, according to multiple reports.
The Knicks released a statement Tuesday on behalf of team president Steve Mills that said: "Our Knicks family is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Reggie Bullock & Dennis Smith Jr’s close family members. At times like this, we are reminded that life is bigger than basketball. Our thoughts are with them & their families."
According to TMZ, Bullock's sister, Keiosha Moore, 22, was shot in the chest a few miles from downtown Baltimore and then walked to a nearby hospital. She was pronounced dead at 7:48 p.m.
The other death Mills' statement referred to was Smith's stepmother, who raised the third-year point guard.
Smith missed the Knicks' win Monday night against the Bulls, he will be out Wednesday at Orlando, and coach David Fizdale said he does not expect him to return in time for Friday's game at Boston.
