The 18-year-old forward is expected to compete for minutes right off the jump in his rookie season.

Kakko skated in 45 games with TPS of Liiga (Finnish Elite League) last season. He scored 22 goals and had 16 assists for 38 points. His 22 goals were the most ever for an under 18 player in the history of Finland's top league.
