Boomer & Gio's NFL Picks: 2020 Divisional Weekend

Gio won the regular-season title in the WFAN Mornings pick race…and then fell flat on his mullet on Wild Card Weekend. A 1-5 fall, combined with 5-1 weeks for Jerry and Boomer, has Gio maintaining a now-slim four-game lead with seven picks to go.

This week…well, Boomer or Jerry is guaranteed to get one up, because Gio actually abstained from making a pick on principle, and the other two went opposite ways. DRAMA!

First, the current standings (last week in parenthesis):
Gio: 44-42 (1-5)
Boomer: 40-46 (5-1)
Jerry: 35-51 (5-1)

And now, Divisional Weekend picks from B&G (and J), brought to you by Oddstrader.com, Solo Stove, and Prop Swap:

GAME 1: LA Rams at Green Bay (-6.5)
Gio:
Green Bay
Boomer: LA Rams
Jerry: LA Rams

Gio’s take: “I know this line has come down, I know Boomer just gave me the stat about Aaron Rodgers against top defenses, but I have picked the Packers to rep the NFC in the Super Bowl all year, and I think they will win comfortably. The Rams defense has played very well, but the offense is impossible to watch, and it will be tough for them to keep up with Aaron Rodgers in this MVP season.”

GAME 2: Baltimore at Buffalo (-3)
Gio:
Baltimore
Boomer:
Baltimore
Jerry:
Buffalo

Boomer’s take: “Ravens defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale stopped Derrick Henry and tried to force Ryan Tannehill to beat them last week…I think they’ll try that with Stefon Diggs. They have a better secondary than Indianapolis, and they have a big defensive line that can cause all sorts of problems for a running game, which the Bills really don’t have. Josh Allen is gonna have to be Superman, so I’m taking the Ravens and the points.”

GAME 3: Cleveland at Kansas City (-10)
Gio:
Cleveland
Boomer: Kansas City
Jerry: Kansas City

Jerry’s take: “Regular season is over, final score on Sunday: Chiefs 35, Browns 7.”

GAME 4: Tampa Bay at New Orleans (-3)
Gio:
PICK ABSTAINED!
Boomer:
New Orleans
Jerry:
Tampa Bay

Gio’s take: “I can’t bring myself to bank on either of these teams. For the first time ever, I’m taking a loss. I don’t want to win with either one of these teams, or root for one of these teams. I hate both of these teams, and the fact that one of them is playing on championship weekend.”
