The Eagles-Giants game ended around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday night…and it didn’t take long for the trash talk to move from the field to the Twitter machine.

Or, in this case, the ol’ video game console.

Yes, that’s Giants wideout Golden Tate throwing shade at Eagles corner Darius Slay, responding to Slay’s Tweet about the Eagles having a “great team win” with a mention that he won’t be buddy-buddy with Slay on their next Call of Duty game.

Slay’s response?

The two were teammates in Detroit for four-plus years – from 2014 until Tate was dealt to Philly, of all places, in 2018 – so surely, there’s a long-term friendship there. But all’s fair in love and war, whether it’s on the field, in cyberspace, or on Twitter.

At least for Tate, his only catch on his two targets was a big one: a 39-yard TD grab where Daniel Jones made a “dime” throw and Tate made an incredible grab over Cre’Von LeBlanc.
