Baseball World Mourns Passing of Tom Seaver: 'One of the Best and Most Inspirational Pitchers’


The baseball world lost a giant this week when it was revealed on Wednesday that Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver passed away at 75 after complications from Lyme disease and dementia.

Seaver, who pitched for the Mets, Reds, White Sox and Red Sox, was most famously known for his time in New York, where he helped lead the Mets to the franchise’s first World Series title in 1969.

Seaver is regarded as one of the greatest pitchers to ever play the game and the baseball world – from former and current players, media and fans -- mourned his loss via social media on Wednesday evening.
