Winged Foot golf course in New York, host of this week’s PGA Tour U.S. Open, is considered one of the most challenging golf courses to conquer in the country.

But for President Donald Trump, it was a piece of cake.

The president joined Clay Travis’ radio show to chat about sports and the upcoming U.S. Open, when Trump claimed he has shot “low 70s, quite a bit” at Winged Foot, where he is a member.

To put in perspective of where that ranks among the best golfers in the world, the last time the U.S. Open was held at Winged Foot was in 2006, when Geoff Ogilvy won it shooting five-over-par.

His scores were 71, 70, 72, 72.

Trump’s claim that he has shot low 70s would essentially mean that he would be talented enough to win the U.S. Open.

Of course, there is a whole book written by Rick Reilly on how Trump cheats at golf,  so who knows if that is what he really shot.

If true, though, perhaps Trump should join the Senior Tour if his re-election bid does not work out.
