There are a lot of Yankees fans who feel that the organization, and particularly manager Aaron Boone, make too many decisions based on data rather than feel…and if you’re in that camp, then Didi Gregorius has the quote for you.
Didi joined Moose & Maggie on WFAN on Friday, and when asked by Moose what the biggest difference was between Joe Girardi and Aaron Boone, his answer went inside the numbers.
“They’re both good managers, but the one thing I see different is that Joe goes more with his instincts, and Boone goes more with analytics, probably,” Gregorius said. “I always tell people that I understand the analytical part of the game, but you also have to take into account the heart of the players; you can’t measure that on paper, and you have to consider that.”
Didi touched on many other topics in his interview, including his own possible future in New York – listen to the full interview below, and as always, check out more on-demand audio from Moose & Maggie, or tune in every day to the WFAN.com or Twitch.TV/WFAN livestreams of the show!
