(670 The Score) The White Sox-Cardinals game set to be played at the "Field of Dreams" ballpark has been called off, Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic reported Monday.

The game was scheduled to be played in Dyersville, Iowa on Aug. 13 and set to be televised by Fox. The cancellation wasn't directly tied to the Cardinals' recent COVID-19 outbreak -- though it couldn't have helped -- but instead was primarily because of logistical concerns, Rosenthal reported.

The "Field of Dreams" game will be made up in 2021 with the White Sox as one of the participants, the Associated Press reported. Their foe hasn't yet been determined.

The White Sox were originally scheduled to face the Yankees at the "Field of Dreams," but because of the revamped MLB schedule after the coronavirus pandemic delayed the start of the season, the Cardinals were picked as the new opponent.

Dyersville is a town about 4,000 in eastern Iowa in which the famed "Field of Dreams" was built for the 1989 movie of the same name.
