McCaffrey is coming off a first-team All-Pro season and was named to his first Pro Bowl.

He became just the third player ever to put together a 1,000-1,000 season, compiling 1,387 rushing yards and 1,005 yards receiving.

In three seasons with the Panthers, McCaffrey already holds the NFL record for most receptions by a running back in a single season and game, the only running back to have two seasons with 100 or more receptions, and the most receptions by a running back in first three seasons.

McCaffrey signed a four-year, $64 million contract extension with Carolina this offseason, the largest deal ever for a running back.

McCaffrey has 2,920 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns, along with 15 receiving touchdowns and 303 receptions in three seasons for Carolina.

This is the first year that the Panthers have only one player ranked after having at least two players ranked every year since the list debuted in 2011.

In 2019, Luke Kuechly, Cam Newton and Gerald McCoy were also ranked. All three are no longer in Carolina.
