The President and Anchor for the Performance Racing Network joined Kyle Bailey on the Clubhouse today to preview the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona, and if we could see a surprise winner before the playoffs start.

The first thing that Doug discussed was the excitement surrounding the race of a restrictor pate race jumbled together with Matt DiBenedetto, William Byron, and 7-time champ Jimmie Johnson among others all vying for a playoff spot with the regular season ending tomorrow. Doug also discussed how the gap is open for some of the underdogs like Michael McDowell a legit chance to win which could turn the playoffs upside down.

Kyle then wanted Doug to explain the historical significance of the season that Kevin Harvick is having after another win at Dover last week and Doug stated:

"He's +40 and a lot of people are trying to retire at that age and he's in his prime and it's really impressive. I'm impressed with him (Kevin) and Denny Hamlin. You have 2 drivers going at it all year and I think the title will come down to those two."

Doug also weighed in on NASCAR not delaying the race this weekend like other sports leagues in wake of the Jacob Blake shooting and Doug doesn't think they will because of the logistics of scheduling, but he does think there will be some recognition of what's going on.
