Fantasy Football: Week 2 Waiver Wire, Streamers, and Starts

Week 1 was a doozy. Some of the chalk hit—Lamar Jackson, Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs all enjoyed monster opening weeks. But there was plenty of frustration mixed in with the ultimate fantasy heel Peyton Barber (who I’m convinced was put on this earth exclusively to vulture touchdowns) spelling Antonio Gibson on the goal line, Odell Beckham achieving milk carton status in Cleveland and George Kittle and Michael Thomas both succumbing to week-spoiling injuries.

If you’re looking for a silver lining amid last week’s wreckage (apologies to any Marlon Mack owners in the room), here’s one. Without having any preseason reps to fall back on, many were worried Week 1 would be an unwatchable slop-fest, but those rust concerns proved largely unfounded with mainstays DeAndre Hopkins, Patrick Mahomes and Julio Jones all appearing in midseason form.

Eye-opening performances from Nyheim Hines and James Robinson should make for a busy week on the waiver front while quarterback-turned-tight-end Logan Thomas (quietly the recipient of a team-high eight targets in Washington’s upset of Philadelphia) and Kansas City’s defense highlight our Week 2 streaming preferences. Stephen Andress, Jordan Cohn and I again have you covered with stealth start recommendations (don’t be surprised if Allen Lazard goes bonkers against Detroit), names to target on waivers and other advice to help you dominate Week 2 on our latest installment of the RADIO.COM Fantasy Football Show.
