Larry Holder of the Athletic joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse as he gave his preview for the Saints and how their first 5 games have gone ahead of their matchup against the Panthers.
The first topic that Larry discussed was the status of Wideout Michael Thomas as Larry told Kyle he thought we were going to see Michael return against the Chargers but he got into an altercation with a teammate, and this week coming off the bye week with a hamstring injury along with the ankle as Larry wonders if he is more banged up than we originally thought.
Larry also put to rest the narrative that the Saints offense isn't the same as he said after the first 2 games that notion could be true, but since then the offense has really started to click.
One area that Larry has been disappointed in has been the defense and more so the secondary as Larry told Kyle:
"The secondary has been a problem so far. Marshon Lattimore has not been playing up to our expectations, Janoris Jenkins has been hurt, and the safety play has been erratic. They have such a veteran secondary so it really puzzles me when they have so many blown coverages which makes me really curious to see how Joe Brady and Teddy Bridgewater attack the defense because the Saints defense could have some trouble on their hands."
