Steelers/Titans to play later this season, after Tennessee reports more cases of COVID-19

Another player and one additional staff member tested positive for coronavirus.

The Steelers will not play the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.

On Thursday morning the NFL announced the game will be rescheduled for later in the season after an additional Titans player and another staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

The rescheduled game’s date has not been announced by will be “made shortly.”

In a statement the NFL says, “the decision to postpone the game was made to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel. The Titans facility will remain closed and the team will continue to have no in-person activities until further notice.

The additional cases now brings the total to 11 with coronavirus, five players and six staff members.

The Titans have a bye Week 7, the Steelers Week 8. The NFL could move move the Steelers Week 7 match up against the Ravens to Week 8 since the Ravens also have a bye that week. They would then play the Titans in Week 7.
