Buffalo Bills players cleaned out their lockers on Sunday morning, just hours after returning the team’s 22-19 overtime loss to the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card game at NRG Stadium that ended their season.

Here’s some of what some players said:

  • Defensive end Shaq Lawson, who is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in March, said he would like to come back to the Bills, but obviously that will be decided between the team and his agent. He said the team not picking up his fifth-year option last offseason gave him motivation to have a great year and he feels he put his best foot forward and played well.
  • Guard Quinton Spain, also scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent, said he told his agent that if the Bills want him back he’d like to get something done before free agency begins.
  • Running back Frank Gore said he’s undecided about his NFL future. The 36-year-old said his body still feels good, but he’ll take some time to see if he wants to keep playing. He mentioned his son going to college football next year, as well. He’ll be a freshman at The University of Southern Mississippi.
  • Quarterback Josh Allen said the offseason plan is for him to do what he has the last two years, which is head to California and work with quarterback coach Jordan Palmer, as well as fellow NFL quarterbacks Sam Darnold, Kyle Allen, and others, before OTAs and minicamp begins for the Bills.
