Nearly a week later, the Bills have found a possible replacement for Feliciano on the offensive line.
Winters started 79 games over the course of his seven years with the Jets. He had injury issues while in New York, being placed on injured reserve four times, including last season when he missed seven games. In nine games played in 2019, Winters had a 64.6 grade from Pro Football Focus, had just one sack allowed, and was flagged for two penalties.
One talked about replacement for Feliciano at right guard this season was second-year tackle Cody Ford. Many believe Ford would be better suited at guard, but the Bills drafted him to be a tackle. The signing of Winters seems to confirm that they want Ford to focus on playing outside.
Ryan Bates and Daryl Williams will likely battle Winters to start at right guard on opening day against the Jets in Orchard Park.
