Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - The Sabres have had a shakeup in their coaching staff. Assistant coach Don Granato is in the hospital with severe pneumonia. He will have to take a leave of absence.

Chris Taylor will come up from Rochester to help the staff out. In his absence, Gord Dineen will be head coach of the Amerks.

Dineen will be helped out by Adam Mair. Mair is a Sabres player development coach.

After Tuesday's practice Ralph Krueger talked about Granato's illness, "The curve is in the right direction, we're optimistic that he will recover fully from this setback."

Many are asking why would you bring up the head coach from Rochester? Krueger said, "He was a part of our training camp and understands everything we need to do here."
