Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - Many feared the Sabres would have three defensemen not ready for the season opener in October, but the news on Brandon Montour isn’t too bad.

Montour suffered a MCL sprain while playing for Team Canada against Slovakia at the World Championship. The Sabres have announced that his recovery time is about six weeks.

Zach Bogosian had offseason hip surgery and Lawrence Pilut had shoulder surgery. Both are very questionable for the beginning of the season.
