Bills announce no fans at home games for the forseeable future

The team had been asking for a limited capacity crowd of 9,000 at home games

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said on Monday that the Buffalo Bills had been asking to allow a limited capacity crowd of 9,000 fans at upcoming home games on the 2020 schedule. Poloncarz added that the county was open to allowing up 7,000 fans into Bills Stadium.

However, the Bills announced on Tuesday that with no changes to protocols given to the team by the New York State Department of Health, no fans will be allowed in attendance for games at this time.

Whether this means with certainty that there will not be fans at the Bills next home game on Oct. 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs remains to be seen.

Poloncarz did also say on Monday that New York State had not agreed to anything and was supposed to evaluate the situation again on Tuesday.
