The Buffalo Bills are set to play a number of prime time games in the final six games of the 2020 season.

Buffalo has two upcoming Monday Night Football matchups against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13 and the New England Patriots in Week 16. The Bills will also be featured on Sunday Night Football for a second consecutive season against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14.

Now you can add to that a Saturday afternoon game against the Denver Broncos in Week 15.

The Bills announced on Tuesday that the team will play the Broncos on Dec. 19 at 4:30 p.m. EST at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver.

The Bills get picked for a late-season Saturday game for the second year in a row. Last year, the Bills were slotted to play their Week 16 matchup with the Patriots in Foxboro on a Saturday, also in the 4:30 p.m. time slot.

This game was listed as "to be determined" from the time the NFL released its schedule as the league designated a total of five games to be possibly played on Saturday in Week 15.

The NFL has also scheduled the Week 15 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers for Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. EST.

Drew Lock and the Broncos are not out of the playoff hunt just yet, but by the time they face the Bills in Week 15 their hopes could be dead. Denver is currently sitting third in the AFC West at 4-6 and two games back from a playoff spot in the AFC.

The Bills do have some history playing the Broncos on a Saturday. They've done it twice since 2000.

In December of 2011, the Bills blew out the Tim Tebow-led Broncos, 40-14 on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile in December of 2005, a quarterback duel between Jake Plummer and Kelly Holcomb saw the Bills fall to the Broncos, 28-17. Both games took place in Orchard Park.

The Bills last played the Broncos this past season in a 20-3 win in Week 12 at Bills Stadium. That victory put the Bills at 8-3 on the 2019 season.
