Despite losing both starting linebackers to injury in Sunday’s 27-17 win over the New York Jets, both Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano may have escaped any serious injury for the Buffalo Bills.
At least that was the initial indication from head coach Sean McDermott when he met with the media Monday afternoon.
Edmunds left the game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury, while Milano exited just before halftime with a hamstring injury. Neither returned to the field of play, although Edmunds was on the sidelines later without his helmet or shoulder pads.
McDermott said he doesn’t believe either injury is anything long-term, but added that both are considered day-to-day.
The Bills will head out for their first road game of the season this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.
