Patriots add quarterback Jake Dolegala to practice squad

The former St. Francis star was recently cut by the Bengals

The New England Patriots now have four quarterbacks on their roster.

According to multiple reports, the team has added quarterback Jake Dolegala to its practice squad. A corresponding move will need to be made to make room for Dolegala.

The second-year quarterback spent all of last year on the Bengals' 53-man roster as their third quarterback. Dolegala went undrafted in 2019 out of Central Connecticut State, where he set multiple passing records.

The Athol Springs native starred at St. Francis but only had one college scholarship offer, having missed all but three games his senior season due to a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder.

Dolegala, who stands 6-foot-7, is the grandson of former Bills center Al Bemiller (on AFL title teams).

The Patriots now have Cam Newton, Jarrett Stidham, Brian Hoyer and Dolegala in the quarterbacks room.
