Musicians in Madison and across the country have been hard hit by the pandemic. With cancelled festivals and other gigs and social distancing rules imposed, many musicians have lost their only source of income. The Madison Area Music Association is looking to help out, launching the MAMA Cares COVID-19 Relief Fund. The organization is looking to raise $250,000 for this effort.
Awards to self-employed and independent contractor musicians, and will be made based on the number of applications received, and resources available.
