For the second year in a row the #FITDC HerStory 5k will be held to celebrate the accomplishments of women throughout history.
On Saturday, March 7 the D.C. community can head out to Freedom Plaza, 1455 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington D.C. for a day of activity.
Check in and same-day registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., warm-ups will be held at 8:45 a.m. and the race will begin at 9:00 a.m.
The event, held in collaboration with the National Women's History Museum, was launched in 2019 as part of Mayor Muriel Bowser's health and wellness initiative #FITDC.
It featured local women-owned businesses along the route and was followed up with post-race activities including Yoga in the park and a women's wellness panel.
