Starting Wednesday, workers earning the minimum wage in Maryland will see a bump in their paychecks.
The state’s minimum wage is increasing from $10.10 an hour to $11 an hour.
The change is among the new Maryland laws taking effect in the new year.
For some companies, the minimum wage will continue to increase in the coming years, the Associated Press reported.
Companies with 15 or more employees will see the minimum wage increase to $15 by 2025.
