Beyoncé put the fashion world on notice with a new cryptic trailer for her Ivy Park x Adidas collection. But it was daughter, Blue Ivy that brought the fire with two subtle yet substantive cameos in the video.
Most of the spot features artificially distressed footage of Bey and other artists sporting Adidas’ new throwback fashion ware, inspired by the Queen. One minute passes before Ivy makes her first appearance. Beyoncé lays flush in a bubble bath wearing Adidas sneakers. Ivy peeks around the corner to spot her mom and give Twitter their latest meme reaction.
Blue wasn’t finished displaying her talents. She puts on a gymnastic show with an incredible split on camera. It’s difficult to spot her with all the Adidas swag:
This is Beyoncé’s second iteration of the Adidas x Ivy Park collection. The new gear is inclusive to all sizes (XXXS-4X) and gender-neutral. The collection offers an array of orange, burgundy and off-white pieces including track pants, jackets, hoodies, dresses, sneakers, bras, bodysuits, cycling shorts, fanny packs and more.
The apparel company’s website says each piece brings out "the inner beauty, strength, resilience and energy of artists who have found their respective parks."
Bey’s latest project is far more than a message of empowerment for women. It’s a statement of the artist’s entrepreneur like hustle, netting her a spot on Forbes Richest Self-Made Women Under 40 List. Accompanied by the likes of Rihanna and Serena Williams, she made the list with a net worth of $420 million.
