Conditioning after this long layoff will certainly be a concern for NHL teams moving forward, but so far for the Cats things have been better than expected. Coach Quenneville joined The Joe Rose Show Thursday morning.
"Our conditioning was at a higher level than I thought," Quenneville said. "The guys have had a tremendous attitude… everybody’s done a great job of making it work and doing our best possible."
Goaltending will also be huge for the Panthers, who are hoping that they can get an elevated level of play from their big free-agent acquisition, Sergei Bobrovsky. Coach Quenneville is pleased with how Bob is preparing
“I have to commend him on how he’s played and how he’s prepared," the coach said. "He’s looking to make whatever adjustments are necessary.”
