The new-look Rhett Lashlee offense has been the big story around the Hurricanes fast start to the 2020 season.  Miami is undefeated and ranked 7th heading into Saturday’s showdown with top-ranked Clemson.  The Canes have wins over UAB, Louisville, and FSU but this game Saturday will be a true early test for Miami.  Lashlee joined The Joe Rose Show Thursday morning and said this about the approach, “Look we are going to go out and play as well as we can and we are going to be who we are and we will find out where we stand.”

As Coach Diaz said on Monday, these are the opportunities you come to the University of Miami for.  Saturday will be Miami’s third consecutive ESPN Gameday primetime game.  Lashlee said about the opportunity, “It’s an incredible opportunity to go play the number one team in the country, a team that has pretty much dominated our league over the last four or five years…guys are excited for this opportunity, this is why you come to the University of Miami to play and this is why you come to the University of Miami to coach.  It gets hyped up on the outside and rightfully so and that’s cool but the game is no different than any other game you’ve ever played, and you prepare the same way and you just got to go out and play the same way.”

Miami and Clemson meet on Saturday night at 7:30 and the game can be heard right here on WQAM
