Apple Season Productive in Connecticut

(Hartford, Conn.WTIC)-Connecticut Agriculture Commissioner Bryan Hurlburt said apple season in the state is turning out to be productive.In an interview with WTIC Radio, Hurlburt said many families are out visiting orchards, helping growers and the local economy.Hurlburt added that even though  parts of the state have experienced a drought, the lack of rain has caused apples to taste sweeter.The Agriculture Department helps promote apples inside the state and even internationally.Hurlburt advises those interested in picking apples to visit their orchard website for business hours and special products for sale.He says more information is available at
