Death Investigation At UConn

STORRS, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The University of Connecticut campus in Storrs is in mourning following the death of a student Monday.The university says second-year math major Tianyin Shang, 19, from Shanghai, China, was pronounced dead at Windham Hospital after she was found in a shallow area of Mirror Lake in the heart of campus.Officials say foul play is not suspected. An autopsy has been ordered.UConn President Tom Katsouleas and the Dean of Students’ Office sent messages Tuesday morning to the university community to express condolences to Shang's family and friends, and to share information about counseling and other available resources.
