WILTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A former president of the Wilton High School Booster Club is under arrest, accused of embezzling from the organization.Wilton police say 50-year-old Brian Colburn moved more than $20,000 from the club's PayPal account, to his personal PayPal account. When confronted about irregularities with the club's finances this past spring, police say Colburn produced forged bank statements, showing there was more money in the boosters' bank accounts, than there in fact was.Police say Colburn appeared to have been in some financial difficulty, and allegedly used the stolen funds to pay for everything from plane tickets to bills.Colburn had been booster club president since 2016 and had gained control of the club's finances by the end of 2017, said police. He's due in court Aug. 19, on larceny and forgery charges.
