MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police are investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting in Manchester Thursday night.
Police say a suspect was shot after barricading himself inside his mother's house on Oak Street.
The suspect had been tracked to 181 Oak Street by members of the Department of Correction's Parole Fugitive Unit, when he threatened to start shooting if they came for him, said police.
Police officers, including members of the regional SWAT team, descended upon the scene.
Negotiators were able to get the suspect to agree to come out, when he was shot, said Manchester police spokesman Lt. Ryan Shea. Shea did not have specifics about how the shooting unfolded.
Four officers were involved in the shooting, he said. Two are Manchester officers; two are officers from other towns. None was injured.
The suspect was pronounced dead at Hartford Hospital.
