UConn's Freshman Class Sports Second Highest SAT Score

STORRS, Conn. (WTIC 1080) - UConn is providing a snapshot of its incoming Freshman class, numbering more than 5,400.

77 percent of the incoming class are Connecticut residents. The students' average SAT score is 1,296, the second highest in school history, according to Director of Undergraduate Admissions Vern Granger.

More than 39,000 people applied for slots in UConn's new Freshman class, a new high for the university. The first day of classes at Storrs is Monday.
