(East Hartford, Conn. WTIC)-The Community Health Centers Incorporated is running what it calls Connecticut's largest mass vaccination rollout.
The operation is taking place at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.
C-H-C Vice President of Communications Leslie Gianelli says the Pfizer vaccine is being administered and stored in a deep freezer at the site.
Those interested in receiving the Pfizer dosage must first register through the C-H-C website or 2-1-1.
This week the operation is Monday through Friday. Starting the 25th, the effort will be seven days a week. Gianelli says at that point
they should be offering seven to ten thousand vaccines a week.
Those eligible in phase 1A--first responders--and 1B--individuals 75 and older--are eligible. The vaccine is free.
